Arriving at the Old House the glistened in the moonlight, the group slowly approached the door seeing decay forming. Amy gazed seeing it not as she remembered. “Hard to believe we lived here,” Syerren commented looking around. “Only for a short time, Vlad said realizing none of the keys worked then simple twist broke the lock. “Vlad did you really have…” Amy began to say then silenced her. Shall we go in?” Amy walked in looking around the dusty abandoned foyer seeing cobwebs and debris lying everywhere. She turned around as Vlad cast a candle in the distance. “It sure isn’t very livable.” Amy said glancing at the various books.

Cecillia looked around at the accumulated filth that years of misuse had left behind. “If we are to stay here tonight, this will likely take forever to clean up,” she said, leaning against the dusty column at the entryway. “And you, Vladimir and Syerren, what about you both?” She sighed slightly, looking around at the dim room. “It’s so hard to believe that this is what it looked like here for so very long. Cousin Barnabas surely done miracles.”

Vladimir and Syerren looked at each other then back to Cecillia, “Well Cecillia we usually were in Romania at the time, Vlad said picking up various objects, then glanced at Amy, “However our mausoleum in the cemetery is probably still active and we could use the secret room during the daylight hours.” Syerren nodded in agreement then looked around, “Do you think we are staying here the whole night?” Vlad sighed, “I would think so the box would have to be found would it not to get back?” Syerren nodded. “I'm sure the girls will be fine here for the evening.” Vlad said embracing Amy then looked at her, “But you two must be careful during the day. No telling what could happen that could…well change history.”

“Vladimir do you think we will find the jewellery box soon,” Amy asked curiously. “It’s a mysterious thing, the box Amy.” Vlad answered making his way upstairs gesturing Syerren to follow. “It comes at various times,” Syerren added following. Amy sighed as the brother’s went upstairs. She looked out the window taking the candle near her feeling her cousin next to her. “Such a different place the past,” she whispered glancing at the clock seeing there wasn’t a lot of time till dawn.

“It is,” Cecillia said, staring out the window as she stood beside Amy. “It doesn’t feel the same here as it does back in our time. Although it defies life, I’m glad that with the help of you and Vladimir and Syerren that I get to experience it.” Looking at the clock herself, Cecillia turned to Amy, feeling exhaustion catch up to her finally. “Do you think that Syerren and Vladimir have found any type of bedding upstairs for us to sleep on," She questioned Amy. Leaving the question hanging in the air, Cecillia turned, seeing Vladimir and Syerren coming back down the stairs.

Coming down the stairs, the brother’s joined Amy and Cecillia, “Alright dear, we salvage a bed for you two for the evening. It’s not much but I think it will do fine.” Amy grinned “Thank you both.” Syerren looked at the slowly turning sky nudging Vlad slightly, “Vlad we better go if we are to find our coffins.” Letting out sigh, he nodded. “Very well.” Turning to Amy, Vlad stroked her then kissed her, “Have a wonderful day my only love.” We will return here this evening.” Glancing at Syerren who kept close to Cecillia whispering, “Stay safe dear. We won’t be gone long.” Letting her go Syerren followed Vlad out the door then the to vanished in the coming morning.
